In the bustling year of 1959, amidst the inception of the M1 and the introduction of direct dial telephones in the UK, Ray Lafford embarked on a journey to bring quality home improvements to our local community. Collaborating with a partner, Mr. Leavey, the foundation of Lafford and Leavey was laid. From its modest beginnings in a shed in Bradfield, our business was born out of a passion for supplying and fitting windows, doors, staircases, and bespoke joinery.
Generational Leadership:
Today, we proudly carry forward the legacy established by Ray Lafford, with his son Paul Lafford at the helm. Paul, who started as the ‘Tea Boy’ in 1979, brings not only a wealth of experience but a deep-rooted commitment to the values that have defined our business for over six decades.
