We own a property parts of which are over 300 years old and we were most concerned about replacing the old single glazed windows with double glazing. We spoke with a number of potential suppliers but when we talked to Paul from Lafford and Leavey we quickly realised that we had found a family run business where the customer was the center of the discussion and not special discount levels!
Paul talked through the options and gave us assurance that modern uPVC double glazing could be in keeping with this old building. An order followed a most competitive quote. A full survey was then completed and after a relatively short wait they were ready to start. This was in January 2024 and we had visions of being cold and surrounded by dirt and debris. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Two very courteous installers carried out the work installing just 3 windows each day. This meant there was minimal interruption to normal life and our home was left spotless each evening. Being such an old building nothing was "standard" but the installers quietly resolved each issue as it occurred.
The result were new windows that from the outside do not even look as though they have been recently replaced and inside a home without all it's old draughts.
If it were possible to award a bonus star we would have definitely awarded it.

We’ve used Lafford & Leavey on multiple occasions on a couple of properties over the last 20 years. We are always delighted with the level of professionalism, quality of work and materials. Lafford and Leavey were the third company we asked to quote for a replacement patio door. Their pricing was extremely reasonable (in comparison with the others), the workmanship excellent and the fitting was carried out by two charming and hard working individuals, Chris and Will. I cannot speak highly enough of the professional team that Lafford and Leavey have that facilitated the delivery and supply  of both our downstairs and upstairs aluminium windows. Paul's team have kept us informed at every stage in the process and Will and Chris (the installation team) were diligent and very professional in their work and have  ensured that would have no hesitation in recommending Lafford and Leavey. i grow very tired of over the top sales people who pressure you and then discount the job numerous times to get the job.
i asked Paul to come round and give me a quote for PVCU sliding sash windows , letting him know my take on some salespeople. i told him he had one hour only, and one price only. when Paul left he pointed out that he had only been with me for 45 minutes :)
Paul emailed me the next day with a single price.
i accepted , and the windows were installed a few months later.
unfortunately one of the windows had a crack in it.
Paul arranged a replacement glass which has now been installed The payment balance wasn't requested until the satisfactory completion . the installers were very courteous and professional.

Brilliant service from all the team and the windows and doors fitted are brilliant too. The sound reduction alone is superb. Don't recognise the company from the two reviews below mine. The company are family based with employees who have been there 40 yrs. Now we've had the windows in a few weeks I can't get over the brilliant soundproofing that comes with the windows and doors. We have just had 6 windows and a door replaced by “the lads”, Will and Cal and they have done a superb job. The door was replaced with a picture window which adds a whole new dimension to our lounge. The quality of the products and the attention to detail whilst installing them was second to none.
